NURSERY - MINI ST. MIKES
Welcome to St Michael’s Nursery! Known as ‘Mini St Mikes’
We are delighted to announce that Mini St. Mikes is open. The building work commenced in May 2020 with the completion ready in time to open its doors to pre-school children as of January 2021.
This long-awaited nursery is a place where children learn through play and are allowed to pursue their natural curiosity. It is a safe, joyful and loving place where everyone is known and valued as a unique individual made in God’s image; and where needs are acknowledged, accepted and met.

A day at Mini St. Mikes
At Mini St Mikes we know the importance of young children having clear routines and boundaries in place in order that they feel safe, relaxed and happy. So, each nursery day has the same shape to it, meaning our children know what to expect and what is expected of them. Our free-flow play sessions are the most important times of our day, because that is the time when children are working their hardest… playing. Our engaging environment is carefully planned taking into consideration our topic, the children’s interests, and what we know the children need to do next. Our classroom offers the children challenge in a supportive and secure environment, where making mistakes is very much seen as a necessary step to success. We go outside whatever the weather, as our outdoor classroom is as important to us as our indoor classroom.
Of course, every day is a little bit different when 3 and 4-year-olds are involved, so there’s always some wiggle room!
Drop and Go!
The nursery gates are open at 8:50am and it is advisable for the welfare of your child/ren to arrive on time. Early arrival is discouraged as this can cause tension and upset for our young children, this is also the case if you arrive late. Please make your best efforts to arrive at 8:50am, drop them off with the teachers, say goodbye and leave. We will respond to any children who have difficulty separating from their parents and will work with you.
