COVID-19 Inclusion Information
Creating an inclusive environment is the most important thing a school can do. An inclusive culture is a prerequisite for an effective school: it brings happiness, a feeling of safety and being part of the community, and, of course, it impacts positively on learning, both in the classroom and beyond. It is our job to prepare pupils to flourish and feel truly included in society whatever their background, disability, ethnicity, gender, identity, learning difficulty, nationality, religion, or sexual orientation. If a situation arises where the school is told by Public Health England to close a bubble we must maintain this by:
Creating a positive and supportive environment for all pupils without exception
Build an ongoing, holistic understanding of our pupils and their needs
Ensure all pupils have access to high quality online teaching
Complement high quality teaching with carefully selected small-group and one-to-one interventions both in school and online
Work effectively with teaching assistants
Detailed in the link below is an outline for each of the areas where Inclusion provide additional support and the plans on how we will continue during a bubble closure.
