“St. Michael’s Church of England School, established upon Christian foundations, and living out the Christian faith, is committed to providing every child with an excellent education.”
We promote our Vision through the key words:
‘Create – Equip – Partner’
Our Mission and Vision is clear and that through strategic and innovative leadership the Inclusion Team provide a broad and balanced curriculum which is tailored to meet the needs and to support vulnerable pupils including those with learning difficulties that enables all to flourish. St. Michael’s has an inclusive culture, where all children are welcomed and valued through their learning and personal achievements. We are committed to ensuring that all children engage positively with the curriculum and we consult with specialists’ support when needed. We promote positive experiences of learning and ensure that all children are given the opportunities to work towards achieving their full potential and achieve positive outcomes. At St. Michael’s we have a clear vision which is committed to ensuring that all pupils participate fully in all areas of school life and will be ready for the next phase of their educational career.
At St. Michael’s we firmly believe in consulting our school community on the systems and procedures we have in place in order to review and reflect upon any developments that we can implement to improve the school. Furthermore, the feedback and views of the parents enables the Inclusion team to ascertain what professionals/specialist services are required to further support parents with children with SEND.
The Inclusion Team carried out a survey in the Summer term 2020 in order to ascertain the views of parents whose children are in receipt of support. The survey was extremely positive and we are pleased that parents took the time to complete the survey and share their opinion. Please see the analysis report below for the results and our actions based on this feedback.
At St. Michael’s CE School we place the partnership with parents as very high and we value this engagement from the moment a child joins our school to the point when they transfer to Key Stage 3. The Inclusion Team hold termly Coffee Mornings for parents. The mornings give the opportunity to meet with the Inclusion Team and ask questions / share experiences.
