At St. Michael’s pupils are placed in one of four designated ‘Houses’ for the purpose of promoting social development throughout the whole school as well as collaboration and teamwork. The four ‘Houses’ are Melrose, Viewfield, Granville and Seymour, named after the streets in the immediate vicinity of the school. Each class has a balance of pupils in each House.
Every academic year, pupils compete for the prestigious House Cup. We have ‘House Days’ which involve special challenges such as singing, chanting, building and exploring. In the Summer, we also hold our annual Sports Days, with points on offer for winning pupils.
The House system provides an excellent opportunity for pupils to come together from all different Year Groups, developing peer support and an inclusive school environment in which pupils can flourish and grow.
