Welcome to St Michael’s Nursery, ‘Mini St Mikes!’

At Mini St.Mike’s we strive to provide a safe, nurturing environment where everyone is known and valued as a unique individual made in God’s image; and where children have many opportunities to develop their curiosity, independence and fundamental skills to prepare them for the start of their school journey and beyond. Our carefully considered timetable, planning and activities aim to offer children a place to learn through play and allow them to develop awe and wonder of the world around them.

A Day at Mini St. Mikes

At Mini St Mikes we understand the importance of young children having clear routines and boundaries in place in order for them to feel safe, relaxed, happy, and ready to learn. Our daily timetable follows the same structure, allowing children to know what to expect and what is expected of them. The day comprises whole class carpet sessions, small key worker group sessions, and plenty of time for free-flowing, where children will be working hard through play. Our engaging environment is carefully planned taking into consideration our units of work, the children’s interests, and what we know the children need to do next in order to flourish. Both our indoor and outdoor classrooms offer the children challenges in a supportive and stimulating environment, where making mistakes is very much seen as a necessary step to success, no matter the weather.

Drop and Go!

The nursery gates are open at 8:45am and it is advisable for the welfare of your child/ren to arrive on time. Early arrival is discouraged as this can cause tension and upset for our young children, this is also the case if you arrive late. Please make your best efforts to arrive at 8:50am, drop them off with the teachers, say goodbye and leave. We will respond to any children who have difficulty separating from their parents and will work with you.

Blue Class Full Time (Monday through to Friday) 8:45am to 3:00pm

Orange Class Part Time (Monday and Tuesday) 8:45am to 3:00pm

(Wednesday) 8:45am to 11:30am

Yellow Class Part Time (Wednesday) 12:30pm to 3:00pm

(Thursday and Friday) 8:45am to 3:00pm
