St. Michael's CE School

Working Together For The Good Of All

“St. Michael’s Church of England School, established upon Christian foundations and living out the Christian faith, is committed to providing every child with an excellent education.”

HELPING IN SCHOOL

St Michael’s is committed to engaging effectively with parents and we ensure that open communication is a high priority for our school. As outlined in our school vision, we actively promote working in partnership with our parent body and have open channels of communication to ensure that the best support is provided for the children in our care.

Parent helpers are very welcome in school, provide a valuable source of support for teachers and children at St. Michael’s and can make a real difference to the children’s learning experience at our school.

There are many ways in which Parents/Carers can engage with delivering the very high standard of education at St. Michael’s – accompanying children on class outings; hearing children read; supporting activities within school (e.g. sewing) or sharing their expertise on a particular subject or helping with class administration tasks.

If you would like to come in and help you must have a Disclosure Barring Service check in place (DBS check) with the school as this is part of the Board of Governors requirements for adults being on site and keeping those within our community safe. (Applications can be made by contacting the school office.)

We have created a Parental Code of Conduct to support parents and the school with the expectations for communication and conduct, both in person or over the phone/email. Please click on the link below:

We look forward to working with you!
