Working Together For The Good Of All

“St. Michael’s Church of England School, established upon Christian foundations and living out the Christian faith, is committed to providing every child with an excellent education.”

SPIRITUALITY AT ST MICHAEL'S

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

Galatians 5:22

Our children and staff have been involved in writing our definition of spirituality:

Spirituality is an awareness that there is something greater than we are. It is a connection with the wonder and energy of life.

At St. Michael’s  CE School spirituality is at the centre of our school and is the heartbeat of our school. We see spirituality as a means to show how we understand ourselves and our place in the world. This includes recognising strengths, areas for development and having the confidence to challenge ourselves. We care for the local and global community and our Christian values underpin our learning and encourage children to ask ‘big questions’.

Please see how spirituality is interwoven through the curriculum and our school in the document below.
